Why every freelancer needs a booking page, not just DMs
If your current booking process involves screenshots of your price list, back-and-forth WhatsApp messages, and a notes app full of appointment times, you are not alone. Most freelancers start this way. But it is costing you clients and time you do not realise.
The DM problem
A potential client sees your work on Instagram. They are interested. They send you a DM asking for prices. You reply three hours later. They have already booked someone else.
Even when you reply instantly, the conversation usually goes like this: "How much for gel nails?" then "What times do you have?" then "Can you do Saturday?" That is four messages before anything is confirmed.
What a booking page does differently
A booking page puts everything in one place. Your client sees your services, prices, and availability, picks a slot, and books it. Done.
- Prices are clear upfront so you do not get haggling in DMs
- Availability is live so they only see times you are actually free
- Confirmation is automatic so both of you get an email straight away
- Reminders are sent for you so clients do not forget
It makes you look professional
There is a difference between "DM me for prices" and "Book me at buuked.me/yourname." One looks like a hobby. The other looks like a business.
You are always open for bookings
DMs only work when you are online. A booking page works at 2am when someone is browsing and decides they want their nails done this weekend.
